A photographic exhibit by Michael Nye that explores stories
and portraits which confront stereotypes. A collection of photographs

The Dragon’s Gift: The Sacred Arts of Bhutan
Through May 23
An exhibition of rare religious Buddhist art with a special
focus on ancient ritual Buddhist dances that are still practiced
in Bhutan.
Chinese Calligraphy: Selection from the Permanent Collection
Through July 20
Japanese art is based on Chinese characters, which is one of
the world’s oldest writing systems still in continuous
use. The exhibition is a collection of more than 80 works of
Chinese calligraphy.

The film festival is hosted by the Honolulu Gay & Lesbian
Cultural Foundation, which is a nonprofit organization that
educates and raises awareness of the community about the gay
and lesbian culture. On May 25, there will by a 1920’s
Garden Cabaret Gala fundraiser held at the Linekona Arts Center,
across from the Honolulu Academy of Arts. Tickets for the film
