Dr. Jerry Agrusa, professor of travel industry
management at Hawai‘i Pacific University, has been
chosen as the keynote speaker for the 2009 15th annual
Asia Pacific Tourism Association Conference. The conference
will focus on a broad range of topics related to research
in tourism and hospitality.

Vice President for Student Affairs Dr.
Jeff Philpott lead a delegation of HPU administrators
to Konkuk University’s 2009 i-FUN conference in
Seoul, South Korea, March 25-27. HPU was one of 40 schools
worldwide to be invited to the networking event, with
received a special spot in this networking event which
included a private meeting with Konkuk University President
Dr. Myung Oh, former Deputy Prime Minister and minister
of information and science of the Republic of South Korea,
also known as the father of I.T. in Korea.
