HPU filmmaker to play in Windtalker Communication majors and film-makers, Luca Diana and
Tobias Brosjoe went to the July audition for Windtalkers. They
were called back for a second audition in a valley close to Ko‘olau
Ranch where they and others acted out a war scene in front of a camera and
production staff. "When I arrived they had already built a huge
battle field," Brosjoe said. "We all dressed in military
clothing and ran back and forth screaming and throwing ourselves on the
ground while the casting director and a camera man were filming us from a
jeep." A few days after the second audition, Brosjoe and Diana
received phone calls from the casting office telling them they had been
picked to join a core group of 50. The core group will be filmed almost
every day of the production. At the moment, as the high-priced flick is being
filmed, Brosjoe and Diana are on the set almost everyday getting a taste
of Hollywood. They start around 5:45 in the morning and get off
around 7 in the evening. When they get to the film location, they go
almost directly to wardrobe, transforming themselves from ordinary HPU
students to marines ready to give their lives for their country. Although their days mostly consists of waiting for another scene,
Brosjoe said he loves the experince. After all he is mingling with some of
Hollywoods greatest stars. Back to Arts & Entertainment |
