Jason Nitschke: KGMB's newest sports reporter

Jason Nitschke is one of the first two graduate students to receive a Master’s degree in Commmunication at HPU. Last summer, while he was forcasting his graduation day, he realized he needed three more credits to fulfill his graduate work so he signed up for Bob Hogue’s class in sports reporting. That may have been all he needed because, today, Nitschke is part of KGMB’s Channel 9 sports reporting team.

   

HPU honors all-star scholar-athletes

On April 24 Hawai‘i Pacific University saluted all of its 2001-2002 athletes with Andrea Wean and Wade Taguchi receiving top honors as scholar athletes.

   
   

Health clubs: Get on the Path to Fitness

What would you like to do with your spare time? Surf the turquoise waters? Hike the lush, green trails? Jog along the scenic beaches? Many would love to get involved in the various outdoor activities that Hawai‘i offers, but lack the energy to actually do it.

   

Exhibit celebrates surfboards

Wood, plexiglass, and foam. The current exhibit at 1132 Bishop Street is a first of its’ kind in downtown Honolulu. “Nalu,” which continues through Sept 6 showcases 40 years of big wave boards.
