Former Rolling Stone Senior Editor, Kurt Loder, MTV’s most familiar face, has been with the world’s largest video music channel since 1988. He continues to write articles and is also the author of several books, including the New York Times best seller I, Tina, with Tina Turner, later the basis for the movie What’s Love Got to Do With It. This is Loder’s first appearance in Hawai‘i. He will talk about his position at MTV and answer questions from the audience.

The event is scheduled to last approximately an hour and a half. Buses will be available for those needing transportation to the event. A bus will leave the downtown campus promptly at 6 p.m. Another bus will leave from Waikiki, leaving the Royal Kuhio Condominium (2240 Kuhio Ave.) at 6 p.m. and the Aqua Waikiki Marina Hotel (1684 Ala Moana Blvd.) at 6:10 p.m.

Both buses will return immediately after the event. The event is free and is sponsored by the Associate Students of Hawai‘i Pacific University and the Hawai‘i Advertising Federation. Call Student Life for more information, 544-0227.
