We are half way through the semester, and I hope you are
all developing those good habits that allow you to balance
classes, friends, work, family, and co-curricular activities.
Learning to balance a plethora of responsibilities is an
important part of the university experience. HPU offers
many resources to help you.
Want talk? Sometimes, seemingly small things can throw
us off balance emotionally and spiritually: Homesickness,
problems with roommates, feeling disconnected from others,
worried about the future are some that can make us feel
stuck and like we’re spinning our wheels. Just having someone
to talk to can make a big difference. Come on by my office
or call 544-9394.
Got food? The HPU Food Bank is located in my office in
UB 1506. If you or anyone you know in the HPU community
find yourself temporarily out of food with nowhere to turn,
this is for you. We want no one in our community to be hungry.
Spread the word. And thanks to SAAC for their recent food
drive!
Need a lift? Visit our weekly nondenominational Chapel
service at Warmer Auditorium every Wednesday, noon to 12:30
p.m. for lively songs, a challenging and uplifting Biblical
message, quiet moments for prayer, and refreshments.
Taking care of ourselves physically, emotionally, spiritually,
socially, and academically make for a successful semester.
Get involved and have a great time!
