A red-nosed, rainbow-haired circus clown in red plaid pantaloons was spotted traveling down Fort Street Mall on Halloween. It was none other than Dr. Helen Varner, dean of the College of Communication (COC) at HPU.

Honor societies induct record number of students

HPU students with outstanding academic records were recognized at the Honor Societies’ Fall 2002 Induction, held Nov. 3 at the Hale Koa Hotel in Waikiki. Nearly 400 students were accepted for membership in one or more of the 11 HPU honor societies participating, setting a new record for fall semester induction.
