The Arts of Hawaii
State Art Museum
The Hawai‘i State Art Museum had its much anticipated
opening Nov. 3. Several hundred visitors with tickets enjoyed
the opening ceremony, a number of events involving the Capitol
District, and most of all, the diverse art works of HiSAM.

New York in the late 1940s. Much of the action takes place
in the mind and memory of the lead character as he deals with
present hard times and past guilt.

missionary and Hawaiian women including Ka‘ahumanu, who
responded to personal and cultural changes and transforming
events following Western contact.

spots, film channel Starz plays it to promote its fall season
films, and Six Flags amusement park uses it for commercials.
