HPU's Hubbard wins Rockstar Games Pipeline Pro on Hohau's north shore

The night before the big one, athletes have many ways to prepare.For Jeff Hubbard, a general business major at HPU it included attending a night class until 8:15 p.m. It must have worked for him. Hubbard won the Rockstar bodyboarding Pipeline Pro held Feb. 4-5 at the world famous Banzai Pipeline on Oahu’s north shore.

   

Basketball picks up one, drop two

The HPU men’s basketball team fell to Brigham Young University-Hawai‘i 84-76 Jan. 24 at Laie. The game’s top scorer, junior guard Marvin Noble, had a career-high 30 points and shot six for six at the foul line. Four steals and three assists rounded out Noble’s outstanding play for the game.

   

Lady Sea Warrior Softball returns 14 players

With a hard-fought .500 record in 2002, the HPU Lady Sea Warriors softball team is back with a veteran roster sure to be a contender for a 2003 Pac West conference title.

   

Out of Bounds: A Pro Bowl experience

The best players from the National Football League are selected to come here to O‘ahu to play in the final clash of titans at Aloha Stadium.
