Joseph Stanton, nationally renowned poet and author, will be
the featured speaker at HPU’s 6th annual Ko‘olau Writing Workshop
March 1 at the windward campus. The event organizer, Patrice
Wilson and catering to both novice and seasoned writers, is
8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Workshop facilitators include Tammy Pavich and Tony Pennay
for fiction; Stanton for poetry; Ida Yoshinaga and Peter James
Gilbertson for non-fiction; and Boyce Brown and Yokanaan Kearns,
HPU’s award-winning playwright and novelist, for script writing.

Participants will receive a free breakfast from 8:45 to 9:15
a.m. and free drinks during the brown bag lunch. A $10 donation
