TIM student wins scholarship

Thereza Majinge, from Tanzania, a senior majoring in travel industry management at HPU, was recently awarded a $500 scholarship from the Paradise of the Pacific Chapter of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA).

Majinge is a member of the HPU Universal African Club, the Travel Industry Management Student Organization and a student assistant in the travel industry management program.

iation of America is the professional association for managers of membership clubs. CMAA has more than 6,000 members who manage more than 3,000 country, city, athletic, faculty, yacht, town, and military clubs.

The next CMAA scholarship deadline is March 7. Any student interested in applying for this scholarship can pick up a form from the HPU TIM office at 1164 Bishop St., Ste. 912.
