Aloha and greetings! Let me add another voice in welcoming
all students new and returning to our HPU campus! I hope
you share my excitement as the start of a new school year
fills the air around the mall with vitality and anticipation.
It is going to be a great year!

| Moving in to new surroundings, making new friends, and getting
adjusted to a new schedule can be both exhilarating and stressful.
Expect the full gamut of emotions as you settle into your studies,
and you will find the adjustment phase much smoother. |
| |
| HPU has many resources to make your transition into university
life as smooth as possible. Numerous activities are scheduled
to connect you to HPU, and numerous clubs and organizations provide
paths to new friends and island experiences. Check out our new
Sea Warrior Center at 1154 Fort St. on the downtown campus for
lounging, refreshments, TV, lockers, lively discussions and opportunities
to meet new friends! |

| If you ever you need a listening ear my office is UB #1506.
Be sure to stop in or visit one of the two non-denominational
worship services available every week beginning Aug 31, on Sunday
evenings at 7:30 p.m. on the Hawaii Loa Campus lanai and on Wednesday
afternoons from noon to 12:30 p.m. at Warmer Auditorium (top
of the library building). Refreshments and fellowship follow.
Good luck in getting off to a good start! |
