Upcoming shows at HPU

HPU’s theater program recently released its schedule for the 2003-2004 school year.

   

Kuma Kahua Theatre shows plays about life in Hawai'i

Kumu Kahua will open its 33rd season with Folks You Meet In Longs. For the fifth season, it will premiere a new work by Lee Cataluna, playwright, screenwriter, actor, and newspaper columnist.

   

Theatre program honored

HPU’s theater program received 14 Po’okela Awards nominations for its 2002-03 plays. However, at the annual awards banquet July 21 at the Ko‘olau Country Club, it walked away with only one award: Best Female in a Play went to Annie MacLachlan for her role in Sea Marks. The other nominations were:
