by Kalamalama staff

Hawai‘i Pacific University is ranked among the nation’s best colleges and universities, according to the 2004 edition of U.S. News and World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges.” It was available on newsstands on August 25.

In the universities-master’s category, HPU is listed in the second tier of western regional universities. Schools listed in this category offer a full range of undergraduate programs and provide graduate education at the master’s level. HPU is measured against more than 570 peer institutions in their respective categories.

“Having Hawai‘i Pacific University listed as a ‘Best College’ validates our position as a nationwide leader in providing a rigorous and quality education to our students,” said HPU President Chatt G. Wright.

HPU also scored among the top 15 schools for having one of the most diverse U.S. student population and ranked second in the west region for having the largest number of international students.
