This fall semester, HPU libraries announced its new collection
of academic eBooks to students, faculty and staff. The eBooks
are full-text electronic versions of published books from netLibrary.
Library patrons can search, borrow, and read them over the
Internet.
The eBooks titles are available to library users from any computer
via the Internet. Initial access to an HPU campus computer
is necessary to start a netLibrary account. The netLibrary
search technology allows users to quickly search across all
the eBooks in the collection to find authors, titles, and keywords.
Users can also search within eBooks for keywords and phrases.
The eBooks are available for checkout and are automatically
checked back into the library collection when the checkout
period expires, making the eBook available for another user.
“
We are excited to be working with netLibrary to offer eBooks
as a new resource that will foster and encourage learning for
our students and faculty,” said Kathleen Chee, HPU associate
librarian.
“Since eBooks are accessible via the Internet,
students will be able to access these resources 24/7.”
Visit one of the HPU libraries to pick up a brochure or download
the instructions from the library’s tab on HPU Pipeline.
Students, faculty, and staff may sign up for a netLibrary account
at www.netLibrary.com from any on-campus computer. |
