HPU was ranked eighth in the first regional Division II poll that was released on Oct. 13. BYU-H and Chaminade were ranked fourth and seventh respectively. With the Sea Warriors two victories against Chaminade on Oct.8 and Oct. 10 , they look to forge ahead of them in the rankings on Oct. 22.

Nadica Karleusa, from Belgrade, Yugoslavia, became the fourth Sea Warrior to earn PacWest player-of-the-week honors, and third in a row, on Oct. 13. In three matches, Karleusa, a sophomore had a combined 46 kills and a .443 hitting percentage. This is Karleusa’s first year as Sea Warrior, and she is currently fourth in the PacWest with 4.32 kills per game.

HPU leads the PacWest conference in hitting percentage and is ranked seventh in the NCAA II with a hitting percentage of .303.
