Ashanti, the princess of hip-hop and rhythm and blues is coming to the Blaisdell Arena on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. for one exclusive concert. The 23-year-old singer, whose full name is Ashanti Douglas, has become one of the top female artists in today’s media.

She has been making music history since her self-titled debut album, Ashanti, first hit music stands across the country, selling more than 50,000 units in its first week of production. She was the first female artist in history to reach this record.

She is also the first artist since the Beatles to have three singles on the Top 10 list simultaneously, “Foolish,” “Happy,” and “Always on Time” (w/ Ja Rule).

Ashanti is turning heads and changing rules as she transformed the hip-hop-oriented multi-million-dollar record label, Murder Inc, by becoming its first R&B vocalist.

Ashanti will be promoting her latest album, Chapter II, which includes top hits such as “Rock Wit you,” Breakup 2 Makeup,” and “Rain On Me.” These have already been climbing the billboard charts and shooting this dynamic young performer into legendary stardom.
