Need a Lift? Stop by our weekly nondenominational Chapel
services at Warmer Auditorium every Wednesday, noon to 12:30
p.m. or at
the Hawai‘i Loa campus Sunday evenings at 7:30. You’ll
be uplifed by lively songs, a challenging and uplifting Biblical
message, quiet moments for prayer, perhaps a guest soloist,
and refreshments. For nourishment of body and spirit, these
are the
happening places each week, and you are welcome to find some
food for the soul.
Want talk? Sometimes, seemingly small things
can throw us off balance and “out of sorts” emotionally
and spiritually. Homesickness, problems with roommates, not
feeling connected
with others, and concern for the future are examples of items
that can make us feel stuck, as if we are spinning our wheels.
Just having someone to talk to can make a big difference. Come
on by my office or call 544-9394.
Got food? If you don’t, the HPU Food
Bank is located in my office in UB 1506. If you or anyone you
know in the HPU community
are temporarily out of food with nowhere to turn, this is for
you. We want no one in our community to be hungry. Spread the
word. And thanks to all of our clubs and organizations that
have gathered food. You’re terrific!
