Volleyball briefs
HPU was ranked eighth in the first regional Division II poll
that was released on Oct. 13. BYU-H and Chaminade were ranked
fourth and seventh respectively. With the Sea Warriors two
victories against Chaminade on Oct.8 and Oct. 10 , they look
to forge ahead of them in the rankings on Oct. 22.

Cross country
leaves competition in dust
The HPU men’s and women’s cross country
squads continued their dominance over the competition by both
taking first places in the HPU Invitational at the Hawai‘i
Loa campus in Kane‘ohe Oct. 11.

About 200 spectators attended the second annual
Ultimate Soccer Cup held by the German Student Association
on Oct. 4 at the HPU Hawai‘i Loa campus.

UH-Hilo Vulcans
The 11th ranked HPU Sea Warriors volleyball team swept past
PacWest Conference rival, University of Hawai‘i-Hilo,
on Oct. 18 and 19 at the James C. Castle Gym at St. Andrew’s
Priory School.

All Girl Cheer Squad
HPU has shown once again that it is dedicated to building
a full-fledged spirit program, to totally support its athletic
teams, and to take full advantage of the opportunities of national
competition.
