Ngetich sixth at Nationals, first at Regionals

Hawai‘i Pacific University cross country runner William Ngetich captured the men’s 10-kilometer race and Nina Christensen came in a close second in the women's race at the NCAA Division II West Region Championship at Prado Regional Park in Pomona, Calif. Nov. 8.

   

HPU finishes strong but falls short

The 2003 HPU Lady Sea Warrior volleyball team fell short of its ultimate quest of a third national title but proved to themselves and the nation that they belonged amongst the best. Head coach Tita Ahuna, the 2003 Pacific West Conference Coach of the Year, took a squad of inexperienced underclassmen, weathered numerous injuries, overcame uncertainty, and defied the odds by taking her team to the NCAA II Pacific Regional championship game.

   

Senior night begins new life for Dobson

For HPU volleyball player Davina Dobson, “Senior Night” was the end of one phase in her life and the beginning of a whole new chapter, one that should read, “Happily ever after.”

   

Basketball - look for big men, big things this season

Russell Dung’s first season as head coach of the Sea Warriors men’s basketball team went according to plan: get in the win column. The team accomplished that 17 times for a 17-10 record.
