HPU graduate Joanne Low (M.A. Communication ‘03), recently took on the job of Marketing Communications Manager for Panya, which opened a new upscale Bistro in November at Ala Moana Shopping Center.

“It’s a trendy location,” said Low, for a restaurant with “a new transcontinental menu that includes a wide variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner delights.”

Panya opened its first Hawai‘i bakery more than five years ago at 1210 Queen St., and that store will continue to operate. According to Low the bakery in the new Bistro will feature products and desserts sold exclusively at the Ala Moana store.

Alice Yeung, managing director, said that the new facility was necessary to meet the high demand for its tasty all-natural bakery products and popular menu selections. “Charles Lau, our award winning architect, created a chic décor to meet the needs of Hawai‘i’s young and trendy,” Yeung added.

Panya Bistro is located at 1450 Ala Moana Boulevard No. 2054 and is open daily except Sundays from 6.30 a.m. to midnight. Sundays, it opens 8 a.m. to midnight.
