China agricultural leaders train at HPU

by Kalamalama staff

Eleven agricultural executives from China’s leading organizations and businesses took part in a two-day educational seminar at HPU earlier this month to learn techniques to help strengthen their marketing and sales efforts.

HPU Marketing Professors Dr. Joseph and Dr. Yooncheong Cho led the first-day sales and marketing seminar tailored specifically for the visitors’ needs. The following day, the group visited notable agricultural establishments on O‘ahu, such as KCC Farmer’s Market, Armstrong Produce, and Dole Plantation.

The visitors, made up of managers and directors in China’s agricultural industry, represented many businesses, including the China Vegetables Circulation Association, Jiangsu Province Huaihai Vegetable Whole Market Co, Zhongshangtie Vegetable Co., Huafu Commercial and Trade Co., and YunNan YuanMo City Vegetable Co.

This is the fifth group of executives from China to utilize HPU’s educational resources as part of a partnership between the University; the state Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism; and the China Hotel and Restaurant Association.
