Rep. Corinne Ching (27th District), on behalf of the Hawai‘i State House of Representatives, presented a congratulatory certificate to the HPU Co-ed Cheerleading Team for winning the 2003 National Championship title and wished them success in defending their title in the upcoming national competition in Florida. The award was presented during the Sea Warriror Basketball halftime on March 3. Rep. Ching told Head Cheerleading Coach Ashley Edwards: “I know and understand the amount of time and effort it takes to accomplish such a feat, and I commend you on your efforts as a coach and as the leader of an amazing team of athletes.”
