The event was held Feb. 7, and SSA provided
food and entertainment for new and old members. The event
started with the famous game Brännboll, which is similar
to baseball.
The members also brought canned food as a fund raiser for HPU’s
food bank, which was created to help students in need of food at
our University.
On Feb. 15, The Masquerade was the second spring semester social
gathering sponsored by the Swedish Student Association. The party
was held at the newly opened Royalton Nightclub. More than 200
people came to experience a night in the dance light. The most
popular part of the night was when the Swedish DJ Stefan
Nilsson, also an SSA board member, played good oldies from the ‘80s
and ‘90s as well as Euro disco. He definitely made people
shake it like a Polaroid picture.
