New President's Hosts inducted

by Saida Oliver, staff writer

HPU held its spring President’s Host Reception at March 16 at Sarento’s in the Ilikai Hotel. The formal ceremony was MC’d by Assistant Director of Student Life, Heather Hubbard.

A lavish dinner was served, and current hosts and new hosts were given the opportunity to mingle with one another, and with faculty and staff, in an intimate setting.

Hubbard began the reception by introducing 46 new hosts to the impressive association. Each host spoke briefly to the friendly audience about themselves, and then accepted a gift from President Chatt G. Wright.

President’s Hosts represent the school in various functions throughout the year. To be nominated, students must have high school spirit, individuality, and a willingness to serve the community.

Students are nominated by faculty and staff. President’s Hosts are ultimately hand picked by the president.
