Sviraj Balkan Jam

Tie-Dyed Textiles

The Honlulu Academy of Arts will be featuring Tied, Bound, Folded and Stitched: Tie-Dyed Textiles from theAcademy’s Collection. One of the world’s most basic textile arts, tie-dying is found in some form in almost all parts of the world. The exhibition will present examples from the cultures of Japan, Indonesia, Cambodia, India, and the Philippines.

Irving Jenkins: Refections on a Hawai‘i Heritage

Hawai‘i-born scholar celebrated for his publications on Hawaiian furniture and calabashes complements his studies in Hawaiian history with the creation of mixed media sculpture.

50 Interpreted: The Weaver’s Hui Exhibition

Young People’s Exhibition

An exhibition of paintings by students in the Manoa District schools will be on view in the Linekona Art Center Second Floor Gallery. The exhibition is organized by the Mokichi Okada Association. There will also be a banquet for the exhibition on sat. Apr.24 from 10 a.m. to noon.
