by Kyle Galdeira, staff writer

The Sea Warrior baseball team fell to 23-26 on the year after losing the final four games of a five game series to visiting California State University-Chico at Aloha Stadium.

In the first game, third baseman Kyle Stanley led the offense with three hits and drove in four runs en route to the 4-3 victory. Centerfielder Geoffrey Say contributed three hits and two runs and pitcher Sean Paiva (5-2) got the win after throwing two innings of relief and holding the Wildcats scoreless.

HPU dropped three of five games in a series against visiting Biola University April 10-14 at Aloha Stadium. Paiva and lefty Cruz Hatanaka (4-3) picked up wins while second baseman Brandon Sato, catcher Chase Nakamura, and right fielder Tyler Ward each hit a home run apiece.

The Sea Warriors played a four game series against Division 1 opponent University of Hawai‘i-Hilo Apr. 24 and 25 while this issue was being printed.

The final game of the season is against University of Hawai‘i-Manoa on May 4 at Les Murakami Stadium.
