For the past two summers, Juárez has taught in the
Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth program
hosted by HPU on the Hawai‘i Loa campus. He regularly
teaches courses in comparative politics, international relations,
international monetary relations, and peace studies.
Juárez has published a wide range of academic journal
articles, book chapters, and research reports and has lectured
on his work throughout the U.S., Mexico, South America, Italy,
New Zealand, and Australia.
He received his Ph.D. from UCLA and joined HPU in 1997 after
10 years in the University of California system. His research
focuses on comparative political
economies of developing countries.
Juárez was a Fulbright scholar to Mexico in 2000 and a Fulbright senior
specialist to the Czech Republic in 2003. He is currently president of the Fulbright
Association- Hawai‘i state chapter. |
