Go around the world in a single day

On Oct. 29, HPU proved again its commitment to providing an American education to a diverse student body within an international context created by students from more than 100 countries studying in a multicultural Hawai‘i community.

   

Student creativity focus

How do you define what it means to be a “global citizen?” HPU has been working to answer that question for several years. One way it does this is through a series of symposia on Global Citizenship. The third Student Symposium on Oct. 30 focused on student conceptions of global citizenship at HPU.

   

Mirasol Espanola new dean of advising

Mirasol Espanola is not like most people. She earned her doctorate while working full time at Hawai‘i Pacific University. She has a license to drive a motorcycle, loves to cook, and is currently teaching herself how to play the ‘ukulele. On top of all this she was just promoted from assistant dean to dean of Undergraduate Academic Advising and Personal Counseling.
