Aloha
from the President
By all accounts, the third Global Citizenship
Symposium held at the Hawai‘i Loa campus was a tremendous
success. More than 100 students, faculty, and staff turned
out on a Saturday morning to be part of Hawai‘i Pacific’s
ongoing conversation about what it means to be a global citizen.

Chaplain's
Corner
Every year the President of the United States
proclaims the 4th Thursday in November as a National Day of
Thanksgiving: a day to pause and give thanks to our Creator
for the abundance of blessings and opportunities that are ours.
It is so easy in our busy culture to become so self-absorbed
that we forget the real source of all good things. Thanksgiving
day helps us remember. We get the day off, we gather family
and friends together to share food and drink, and hopefully
we are all brought closer to one another.
