HPU offers courses at Island Academy in Kapolei

by Kalamalama staff

HPU gave concrete expression, in late October, to its commitment to meet the changing needs of our island community. According to Vice President and Dean for Student Services Nancy Ellis, the Univeristy has secured two classrooms in Kapolei, and will begin offering courses to Second City residents in the spring 2005 semester.

Kapolei is the fastest growing area on O‘ahu. With more than 600 businesses supporting more than 15,000 jobs, Kapolei’s need for qualified professionals is increasing.

In order to the meet the demand for locally available quality higher education, HPU will be offering undergraduate and graduate courses at Island Pacific Academy’s new campus. Courses include the areas of accounting, communication, information systems, law, management, and marketing, with more courses planned. The HPU Web site [www.hpu.edu] has the most current schedule of courses. Call 544-9300 for information on registering for these classes or exploring other options available for both traditional students and working adults.
