Club events scheduled

by Kalamalama staff

HPU’s annual Spring Club Carnival will take place Feb. 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on upper Fort Street Mall. Clubs will begin setting up at 9 a.m., and the HPU cheerleaders, Dance Team, and Band will perform about 1 p.m.

Almost 50 RIOs signed up before winter break to reserve their tables. Heather Hubbard, director of Student Life, reminded club members whose organizations had not signed up yet to reserve a table as soon as possible.

Hubbard, who can be reached at hhubbard@hpu.edu, added: “To maintain status as an RIO, organizations need to participate in the spring 2005 Club Carnival. This event is a wonderful way to recruit new members and advertise upcoming events,” she said.

Hubbard also reminded club presidents and advisors to sign up by Feb. 4 for the first spring semester Power Breakfast, Feb. 8, 8:30 a.m. in the Plaza Club at 900 Fort Street. She added a reminder that “business attire will be enforced, and if club presidents cannot attend, they should arrange to send another executive board member to the breakfast.” RIOs signed up include:
