HPU kicks off Tsunami Relief Fund Drive

HPU joined Asian tsunami relief efforts, kicking off its fund drive efforts with with a “Run for Relief” event Jan. 28 on Fort Street Mall. Everyone who donated was invited to participate in the “Run for Relief” bungee-run race.

Donations can be made by visiting HPU’s Tsunami Relief online giving site at www.hpu.edu/tsunamifund, or by mail. One hundred percent of the donations will be presented to UNICEF.

“ HPU has more than 8,000 students from all 50 states and more than 100 countries,” said

Heather Hubbard, director of Student Life, “including those hardest hit by the December tsunami.” She added that, as individuals and as an international learning community, students and staff wanted to contribute.
