HPU/HPA scholarship benefits HS journalists

In 1998, HPU President Chatt G. Wright proposed that the University award scholarships in conjunction with the Hawai‘i Publishers Association High School Journalism Competition. Since then, up to four scholarships have been offered every year to local students participating in their high school newspaper programs.

Concert benefits Chorale Ensemble

On March 11th the HPU International Vocal Ensemble and Chorale will hold a benefit concert at 7 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church at 1822 Keeaumoku St. on the corner of Nehoa, in Makiki.

HPU sponsors 8th annual writer's workshop

Well-known local author Albert Wendt will be the keynote speaker at HPU’s March 12 Ko‘olau Writing Workshop at the windward Hawai‘i Loa campus.
