Family
support group ask for community involvement
When soldiers are deployed for war they go through
rigorous training to prepare for battle. This includes sitting
through hours of classes about bugs and diseases, protocol for
POW’s, and what to do if you’re captured. They also
have to complete basic combat training before going into theater.
Their families, on the other hand, are not well prepared for
soldiers’ deployment and are often confused about the process
and the military in general. |

Gutten Tag and
Aloha!
When we talk about Germany, we think of beer,
soccer, and Oktoberfest. But that is not all Germany has to
offer. The Hawaiians knew that. Ever heard of Spreckelsville?
Or of Isenberg Street? Or even Barber’s Point on O‘ahu?
