Aloha
from the President
Aloha! Welcome to the 2005-2006 academic year
at Hawai‘i Pacific University! Whether you’re
back for another year or joining us for the first time, you’ll
soon see that this year is a special one in many ways. We
begin the celebration of HPU’s 40th birthday with the
high marks the University received from the Western Association
for Schools and Colleges (WASC), the regional commission
that accredits schools in California, Hawai‘i, and
the Pacific region. HPU has been fully accredited since 1976,
and this year the University was awarded full reaccreditation
in good standing for 10 years, the longest accreditation
period WASC can grant. [More]
