A.D ready to raise the
bar
HPU’s new Athletic Director, Jill Ward,
brings a lot of experience to the table and has a lot of
plans for the rebirth of HPU’s Athletic program.
Ward’s main goal is to make all of the sports at HPU
national competitors. She says that she is trying to accomplish
that by gaining more support and sponsors. “I’m
very excited about the volleyball team, which is ranked fifth
in the country and has a 9-1 record,” Ward said of

Lady Sea Warriors sweeps home opener
The Lady Sea Warriors swept Notre Dame de Namur
University, 30-11, 30-14, and 30-12, in their home opener.
With the victory, HPU volleyball improved its record to 10-1.
Its only loss occured to California State University San
Bernadino, which ranks number two in the nation, according
to AVCA Division II Poll. [More]

Danes lead HPU cross country teams
to individual, team victory
The PacWest Conference will never look at Danish
in the same way again. Denmark’s Jacob Klausen and
fellow Dane, Louise Brasen, won the men’s and women’s
titles, respectively, of the Brigham Young University-Hawai‘i
Invitational in Laie Sept. 24. Both HPU teams also took the
