Army restructuring for efficiency

The U.S. Army is undertaking its largest restructuring since World War II. The goal: to transition the Army into a modular force and increase combat readiness by about 30 percent. The goal behind the modular force is to increase the number of combat brigades, standardize the support brigades, and allow for more flexibility and rapid deployment by creating Brigade Combat Teams (BCT) that operate as self-contained units. Dems attack Bush war on Hawai'i vets

Washington, DC – In July Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean criticized the Bush administration and Republicans in Congress for failing our veterans.
