Kyrgyzstan - lost paradise



Family dinner is still a tradition in Kyrgyzstan: every evening families and guests, who are always treated as a part of the family, get together and celebrate the end of the day. Sometimes there is a lot of food on the table; sometimes bread and tea are all they have to eat. But even then, family members get together and thank God for everything they have.


People for centuries have tried to find the place where East meets West, not just geographically but culturally; a land where different religions, languages, and traditions would exist in harmony with each other. Even though not everybody knew about it, this land existed, and its name was–no, not Hawai‘i–Kyrgyzstan. [More]
