All-Girl Stunt Team members are Amber Lefler, a finance junior from Coppell, Texas; Bridget Hall, a nursing senior from Winfield, West Virginia; Nicole Latham, a physical therapy junior from Indianapolis, Indiana; and Lauren Muckleroy, a pre-med junior from Silsbee, Texas. HPU’s Partner Stunt Group of Michael Brewster, a junior business major from Tampa, Florida, and Chelsea Ross, a nursing freshman from Houston, Texas, placed eighth overall. HPU Head Cheer Coach Matthew Parkey coached both teams.

HPU’s All-Girl Stunt Team is the reigning 2005 National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) National Champion, as are its Small Co-ed Cheer Team and mascot Sharky the Sea Warrior in their divisions. The All-Girl Cheerleading Team is the only all-girl college cheer team in Hawai‘i.

Coach Parkey joined HPU’s cheer program in July 2004, the same year he was featured on the cover of Cheerleader & Danz magazine. He is a nine-time national championship cheerleader who has been cheering since his sophomore year in high school. He is experienced in gymnastics, cheerleading, and choreography.
