Garrett Alexander Smith, studying for a Master of Business Administration in Organizational Change and Development; and Monica Ochetti and Jasmine Na Wang, both of whom are studying for a Master of Arts in Communication.

Undergraduate nominees were: Sherese Foster-Graham and Jeff Rocco Blais, both majoring in psychology; and Erik Christian Hansen, majoring in business management.

And the winners are:

Graduate student in communication, Jasmine Na Wang and undergraduate business major and president of the Associated Students of Hawai‘i Pacific University, Erik Christian Hansen.

Na Wang, who graduated from HPU with a Bachelor of Arts in English, is a President’s Host and President of HPU’s Graduate Student Organization. She is a member of numerous HPU organizations, including the International Association of Business Communicators, Polyglot Toastmasters, and the International Chorale. Off campus she is a member of or has volunteeered to work with: the National Marine Sanctuaries, Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, the Red Cross, Relay for Life, Lupus Foundation, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and the Interfaith Hospitality Network.

Hansen is also a President’s Host and has worked as a resident advisor at the Hawai‘i Loa campus. He has been a cheerleading assistant athletic trainer, New Student Orientation counselor, Circle K Club member, and a participant in the Global Symposia. He has also been involved in the Super Dorm challenge, the Alcohol Awareness Program, as well as intramural football, basketball, and volleyball.

Outside the University he has worked with or volunteer for: O‘ahu Highway Cleanup, O‘ahu Beach Cleanup, the Honolulu Marathon, the Great Aloha Run, INTERACT, Shriner’s Hospital, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Operation Iraqi Children’s Program, Ronald McDonald House, the Washington D.C. Close Up Government Program, and Habitat for Humanity.
