Both rain and sunshine for HPU softball

Rain proved a devastating opponent for HPU softball as the Lady Sea Warriors cancelled 12 games due to wet weather in the past weeks, including BYUH, Chaminade, and UH-Hilo. According to co-Head Coach Howard Okita, the games against BYUH and Chaminade will be rescheduled. [More]

Footvolley fans find fun on O‘ahu beaches

Nearly every Saturday afternoon, tourists and locals at Queen’s Beach in Waikiki stop to watch what appears to be a beach volleyball game. What they see, however, is a combination of volleyball and soccer called footvolley. [More]

 


Footvolley, which combines rules and techniques used in volleyball and soccer, is catching on here in Hawai‘i.

Getting it straight

Yes, “Intercultural” was misspelled on page 1. The tricks the eye can play on the mind, or vice versa, are always amazing. At least 30 people looked at that page.

And, yes, we also mispelled Ann Newton’s name, but at least we were consistent.

Also on page 3, the “new faces in advising” pictured are Heather Stever and Jennifer Gonzales.

Not our best issue for accuracy.
