All island University students
were invited, regardless of age, to this ASHPU-sponsored attempt “To
promote camaraderie among island University students and alleviate
Hawai‘i’s housing crunch,” said University
Relations Specialist Jessica McDunn.
Proceeds from all ticket sales will go to Habitat for Humanity,
and to raise additional funds for the local homeless shelter
provider. The concert featured a raffle with prizes from local
companies such as Sea Life Park and California Pizza Kitchen,
Three bands performed: National Product, The Appearance, and
Cauterize. Advance tickets for the event, available on Fort Street
Mall and at the Hawai‘i Loa campus lanai were $5. Tickets
cost increased to $10 the week before the show and were $15 at
HPU provided buses departing at 6 p.m. from the Hawai‘i
Loa campus and student housing and returning at midnight.
