Team members included Luke Tucker, president, and Akiva Sutta-Gomez, former president. They were joined in the San Francisco Bay area by SIFE@HPU Advisor, Ken Schooland.

The SIFE team will be going to the National Championships in Kansas City in May.

SIFE@HPU fielded the smallest team at the competition and won a record number of special events. The team members were finalists in:

• National Business Ethics Competition, sponsored by Campbell’s and Sealed Air;

• National Success Skills Competition sponsored by Discover;

• National Financial Literacy Competition sponsored by HSBC;

• National Market Economics Competition sponsored by Aflac;

• National Program Sustainability Competition sponsored by GE Consumer Products.

With awards of $500 for each special competition, the SIFE@HPU team brought home winnings, for the Regional Championship and all special trophies, of $4,000.
