Chaplain's Corner
with Reverend Dale Burke
Moving in to new surroundings, making new friends, and adjusting to a new schedule can be both exhilarating and stressful. Expect the full gamut of emotions as you settle into your studies, and you will find the adjustment phase much smoother.

Take advantage of the University’s many resources to make your transition into university life as delightful as possible. Many activities are scheduled to help you connect to HPU, and many clubs and organizations provide outlets for energy and opportunities to meet new friends and enjoy our island paradise.

If you ever you need someone to talk to, the University chaplain, that’s me, and the talented people in the Advising Office are always available and easy to contact. My office is UB #1506 (phone: 544-9394). Call or stop in any time!

If you’re looking for uplift and inspiration, with refreshments and fellowship to follow, here’s another invitation: Come to HPU’s non-denominational Chapel Service every Wednesday (beginning Sept. 6), noon –12:30 p.m. at Warmer Auditorium (top of the library building). We are looking for guitar and a piano players and folks who like to sing.

Good luck in getting off to a good start!
