TIM SO walks for charity
In May, while most people were sleeping, 9,000
people, including 11 members of HPU’s Travel Industry
Management Student Organization, sacrificed their rest for

Charity Walk, sponsored by the Hawai‘i Hotel Industry
Association. Faculty advisor for the event was TIM Associate
Professor, Dr. Joseph Patoskie.
The walk stretched for seven miles and incorporated 16 stations
with refreshments, ranging from sushi in Kapiolani Park to
cookies and water at the Ala Wai Promenade.
TIM program director Wendy Lam supplied the group with the
attention-getting “bite me” t-shirts.
The next walk is already planned for 2007.
