.About Us

by Katja A. Silverå, Arts & Entertainment editor emerita

With a mission to provide opportunities for artists to evolve while effecting a positive change, and with aspirations to bridge cultural experiences and creating high quality work inspiring personal, spiritual, and social growth, IONA’s productions provide a greater understanding of how we are affected by arts in our lives.

Created 17 years ago, IONA brings a wealth of experience to the creation of exhilarating performances that are truly unique experiences. Typically an innovative blend of Easter and Western influences melding costume, lighting and movement with witty spoken text, music, and video, IONA brings to audiences an interactive experience reaching far beyond dance to total theatre. No wonder The Los Angeles Times called IONA “…a visionary coup de theatre.”
