Chaplain's Corner
with Reverend Dale Burke
It is so easy in our busy culture to become so self-absorbed that we forget the real source of all good things. Thanksgiving Day is a day to pause and give thanks to our Creator for the abundance of blessings and opportunities that are ours. We get the day off, we gather family and friends together to share traditional foods, and hopefully we are all brought closer to one another.

This Thanksgiving Day, we want no one to be alone or go without a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. You are invited to come to the Sea Warrior Center on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, for a morning of giving thanks and a delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings.

The dinner will be cooked by Grindz restaurant next to Sea Warrior Center. To make it even more of a cultural experience, we’ll see if we can find an American football game on TV. You can’t beat that!
Tickets are $2 for the entire dinner and will be available on the mall. Please purchase them in advance, so we know how many to plan for. We have space for 100, so get your tickets early.

Here’s the schedule at the Sea Warrior Center:

10 a.m. Thanksgiving Praise Worship Service.

11 a.m. Traditional dinner.

For more information call Rev Dale at 544-9394. Then come join us as we pause to give thanks in an attitude of gratitude!
