Chaplain's Corner
with Reverend Dale Burke

Does all of this immensity make each of us who are trying to get through finals seem pretty small and insignificant? Not if you understand the Christian message of Christmas.

Christmas is not about the immensity of our Creator’s handiwork but about the immensity of our Creator’s love of his creation. God so loves the people of creation that he gave the gift of His son (Jesus) that the world might have life and have it abundantly.

Christmas reminds us that no matter how large the universe is, our Creator ‘s love is larger and that love is made known in the Christ child born in the manger in Bethlehem. This love, like the universe, is never ending and lasts unto eternity for all who trust.

In creation we see God’s hand: at Christmas we see God’s heart. Immense isn’t it?

Good luck in all your semester-ending projects, and may we all find peace during this blessed holiday season!
