The HPU Lady Sea Warriors softball team defeated the HPU alumni team 12-4 at Sea Warrior Field on the windward Hawai‘i Loa campus Feb. 10. Clerisse Lemke pitched three innings and recorded the win. Kristin Fujii took the loss for the alumni team.

Krystal Plunkett (Pearl City) led the way for the Lady Sea Warriors going 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Anuhea Young (Kahalu‘u) and Danielle Young (Kailua) added a 2-for-4 day, while Lehua Yap and Nicole Kalakau (Waimanalo) each recorded a home run.

Lyrissa Sagawa led the way for the alumni going 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI. Jarnett Lono went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

The HPU softball team will start Pacific West Conference play on March 6-7 against the University of Notre Dame de Namur at Sea Warrior Field at 2 p.m. The Lady Sea Warriors will go on to play Brigham Young University-Hawai‘i on March 10 at CORP at 5 p.m.
